Azax is a derivative of Erythromycin, with its active component being Azithromycin. It is prescribed for the treatment of individuals suffering from acute bacterial sinusitis, community-acquired pneumonia, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, acute bacterial flare-ups of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, cervitis, urethritis, and genital ulcer diseases.
Azax is utilized to address a variety of different infections caused by bacteria, including ear infections, skin infections, respiratory infections, and sexually transmitted diseases. Azithromycin combats bacterial infections in the human body. It is also given to children to treat tonsillitis, strep throat, pneumonia, and ear infections. However, it is important to note that it will not be effective against viral infections such as the common cold or flu.
The most frequently reported side effects associated with Azax treatment in adult patients were related to the gastrointestinal system, including diarrhea/loose stools, nausea, and abdominal pain.
If you experience any signs or symptoms of an allergic reaction, such as difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling of the face, tongue, lips, or throat, seek emergency medical assistance immediately.
Discontinue the use of Azax and contact your healthcare provider promptly if you experience serious side effects, including watery or bloody diarrhea, irregular heartbeats, chest pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), nausea, stomach pain, low or high fever, severe skin reactions, sore throat, skin pain accompanied by a spreading red or purple rash (especially on the face or upper body) that causes blistering and peeling.
Store Azax at room temperature, away from children and pets. Keep it protected from sunlight.
